LPN for Instructor Opportunity Needed

 

Discovery Community College has an instructing opportunity available in the Lower Mainland (Surrey  area) for the right individual, to help guide our students through their Lab & Clinical HCA training. 

Our instructors play a vital role in changing lives and positively impacting the health care sector in BC, leading students through their laboratory, and clinical training toward entering the work force as fully qualified and desperately needed HCA’s.

The instruction will be for the Lab and Clinical portions of our HCA program in Surrey (in person at a local facility) from beginning June to mid August, 2024 (approx. 24 to 32 hours per week.)

    What you have:

  • Passion for making a real difference required!

  • Current full registration with the BCCNM – required.

  • Two or more years of full-time nursing experience – required.

  • Minimum 2800 hours of nursing experience

  • Nursing experience must include experience in acute and LTC care settings

  • Ability to teach adult learners (mentoring / instructing)

  • Previous experience an asset (please forward examples)
