Robert Half Bookkeeper in Surprise, Arizona

Description Robert Half is looking for a bookkeeper to place with one of their clients. The position would be offered on a permanent term. Organized and self-driven accounting professionals might want to consider this Bookkeeper role if they enjoy working under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. The Bookkeeper will manage accounts payable, reconciliation, month-end closing, and accounts receivable. Similarly, the Bookkeeper you will perform cash applications, full cycle A/P, data entry, coding, and light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation. This Bookkeeper opportunity will be located in the Surprise, Arizona area and will be a permanent position. Submit your application as soon as possible!

Major responsibilities

  • Form monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

  • Conduct monthly accounting close

  • Other unique projects when they come up

  • Maintain general ledger

  • Verify monthly accounting close

  • File cash flow projections, as needed

  • Keep a check on Accounts Payable

  • Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

  • Ready subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

  • Administrate Accounts Receivable

  • Competent in credit card management and reconciliation Requirements - Month end closings experience

  • Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Expertise in Reconcile Bank Statements

  • Credit card accounting experience preferred

  • Adeptness in Federal Taxes

  • Monthly Quarterly experience

  • Strong organization skills

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well

    • Previous accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

  • Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

  • Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

    • 3+ years of related experience- Great attention to detail
