Purpose of the Position:

Covering both the Smelter and the Precious Metals Refinery, this position is the most senior management position except for the department manager. The successful applicant will operationalize the security operations plan and oversee implementation of security procedures in the field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Operationalize and manage the security operations plan.

Crisis Management: Implement crisis management plans during relevant contingencies.

Security Procedures: Familiarize and enforce all security procedures ensuring maximum safety and security at the facility.

Assuming Authority: Act as the highest authority for the Risk Management Department in the absence of senior managers.

Improvement Efforts: Drive initiatives to achieve continuous improvement among outsourced security guards and shift supervisors.

Staffing and Equipment: Maintain relationship with outsourced project manager to ensure full suite of contract deliverables.

Training: Direct and schedule training of security guards and ensure regular training drills are conducted under the guidance of Risk Management Department senior managers.

Incident Management: Ensure incidents are responded to and tracked as per security procedures and work with appropriate members of the department’s Management and Administration team to see these are concluded.

Threat Treatment/Risk Mitigation: Assist senior manager in designing and implementing mitigations to identified risks.

Key Challenges:

  • Operationalizing security operations plans for both facilities.

  • Constant improvement and refinement of security operations.

  • Maintaining compliance with procedural standards.

Background, Education and Work Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in law, politics, business, or any other relevant discipline.

  • Gada Utama certification.

  • Other industry certifications.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a senior supervisory role, with preference given to those with backgrounds in the Oil and Gas, Mining, or heavy manufacturing industries.

  • Previous work for a multinational corporation and understanding of governance/compliance responsibilities thereof is preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience delivering training and simulations in the field.

  • Previous experience managing relationships with external stakeholders including military and police.

  • Experience dealing with community groups/members to affect preferable security outcomes.

Skills:

  • Strong command of communication and leadership abilities.

  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.

  • Proficient understanding of security protocols and procedures.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to write concise reports in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Computer skills including Microsoft.
