Hyundai America Technical Center Inc Vehicle Safety Crash Test Technician Data Instrum in Superior Township, Michigan

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for a Vehicle Safety Crash Test Technician (Data Instrumentation) at our Superior Township, MI facility. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to) Working in an automotive prototype development environment. Prepare instrumentation for testing: Pull calibrated equipment for installation on vehicle. Assemble instrumentation in uniaxial, biaxial, or triaxial configurations as needed. Verify all sensor functionality prior to test. Repair or replace sensors damaged between install and test. Assist with install test equipment and instrumentation used in automotive testing: Accelerometer, pressure sensor, voltage and current monitor installation. Sensor cable routing. Trim disassembly and reassembly associated with installation. Accurate written and photographic records of all installed instrumentation. Repair damaged and broken instrumentation: Diagnose instrumentation issues and determine reparability. Solder and splice cables as necessary to repair damaged wires. Properly document and dispose of non-repairable instrumentation. Basic sensor and test dummy maintenance: Solder and splice broken wires in dummies. Diagnose and repair basic broken dummy instrumentation. Work cooperatively in a team environment with other technicians and engineers. Other Responsibilities: Fully document instruments and calibrations in a database environment. Parts and equipment ordering. Maintain shop equipment and tools. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment. PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate integrity and ethical behavior. Ability to multi-task and meet time constraints. Excellent Communication and writing skills. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills working in a culturally diverse environment.
