Hyundai America Technical Center Inc Interior Trim Engineer Senior Engineer in Superior Township, Michigan

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for an Interior Trim Engineer for our Superior Township, MI facility who will: Design and develop Interior Trim parts, and perform releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects Develop innovative solutions to improve Interior Trim from cost/mass, performance, and quality perspectives Develop Engineering Concepts and see parts through to Mass Production Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results Recommend engineering improvements through assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking Use previous experience to help mentor and develop fellow engineers within the group Be responsible for generating and completing Advanced Development projects related to part- or system-level improvements for future vehicles Engineers should be able to demonstrate: 8+ years of working knowledge of Interior Trim Components: Instrument Panel, Center Console, Hard Trim, Soft Trim Experience in cradle to grave product development best practices & processes Knowledge of US regulations Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Trim components Experience utilizing Computer-Aided Design tools (capability in CATIA V5 ideal, but not required) Travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally What we offer: Zero-dollar employee premiums on Medical, Dental, and Vision for you and your family 100% employer-paid disability and life insurance Generous paid time off including vacation, sick and abundant holidays A global environment that fosters diversity Competitive salaries Retirement savings and planning benefits Flexible work hours, and hybrid work schedule options Access to health savings accounts and flexible spending accounts Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 8+ years of experience required Valid Driver's License & satisfactory driving record Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai Kia must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
