Hyundai America Technical Center Inc Human Resources Generalist Manager in Superior Township, Michigan

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for a Human Resource Manager working out of the Headquarters in Superior Township, MI that will: Provide the leadership and development of human resource programs aligned with HATCI and Hyundai Kia Motor Group's mission, values and strategic goals. Cultivate strategic internal relationships, working across departments to partner and influence at all levels, with particular emphasis placed on working cooperatively across cultures. Understand and interpret HR programs, policies and procedures and interprets the intent, spirit, and terms of each employees and managers. Explains to employees all company and governmental rules, regulations, and procedures, and the need for compliance. Implement and recommend revisions or drafts of human resource policies to provide consistency in employee relations and to remain compliant with state and federal laws. Administer overall employee performance evaluation programs including the complete cycle of processes and tools; goal setting, coaching and feedback. Maintaining annual performance processes, ratings and training managers. Counsel management in the application of effective associate relations policies and practices. Verifies adherence to associate relations, policies and practices day - to - day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours, and working conditions. Advise and oversee other HR Team Members in areas such as but not limited to: Benefits, Training, HRIS. Create, develop and implement corporate-wide human resources programs, including making executive level presentations and work cooperatively across cultures with Global HR (South Korea) initiatives. Manage day-to-day employee relations; maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting requirements and regulations affecting human resources and proactively ensure business practices are in compliance. Provide support to employees, Department Manager, Senior Management, President and those at various locations throughout the United States on a regular basis. Travel up to 20% of time, both domestically and internationally.

Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fields HR Experience in OEM and Tier 1 Preferred At least 10 years in Human Resources experience Preferred Managing and leading a team of HR professionals experience Preferred Knowledgeable in Employment Law preferred Preferred Experience Education-related experience Bilingual - English & Korean Candidates applying for positions with Hyundai must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
