Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is currently looking for a CFD Engineer for our Advanced Engineering Lab in Superior Township, MI: The Advanced Engineering Lab at Hyundai-Kia America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) focuses on advanced technology research and development for world-class vehicles, and currently is looking for a talented and motivated CFD engineer to support vehicle aerodynamic development and advanced thermal management. This CFD Engineer will be using CFD tools to evaluate the performance of full vehicle aerodynamics and advanced thermal management for high voltage traction battery, cabin comfort, power electronics, etc. Responsibilities: Use CAD tools as Catia and pre-processing tools as ANSA to prepare CFD CAD model. Build and validate CFD model with test data. Evaluate the performance of full vehicle aerodynamics using Star CCM+ Assess the performance of advanced thermal management for battery pack/ cabin comfort/ power electronics, etc. Post-process the simulation results and identify design improvement areas. Optimize design solutions to achieve performance target. Prepare technical reports to communicate with various teams.
