Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or other relevant technology related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 15 years of experience managing internal infrastructure, developer tools, or distributed infrastructure.

  • 15 years of experience with people development.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Focus on people development to grow the next generation of leaders.

As Vice President, you will be responsible for connecting our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem across GCP services to provide aggregate value to our customers. You will lead a cross-functional team dedicated to creating an interconnected, cohesive experience for our GCP customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for external products that make building and operating distributed applications easier. Additionally, you will be responsible for the internal platforms used by other GCP teams to deliver their services and AI-assistance in Duet AI for Google Cloud.

Additionally, you will influence leaders throughout GCP and horizontal owners around this initiative. You will sit within Google Cloud’s Application Ecosystem and report to the General Manager of that organization.

The US base salary for this full-time position is $550,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Set long-term outlook and strategy, lead large, complex engineering teams with an emphasis on user experience, and also create meaningful work-back plans to provide current-day operational direction to product and engineering teams.

  • Prioritize features and make trade-off decisions. Influence and drive internal stakeholder alignment on a variety of platform-related topics.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product Management and UX) to drive business results.
