Meta Supplier Quality Engineer, Meta in Sunnyvale, California

Summary:

In this role, you will take the responsibility to make sure the product quality for components purchased from suppliers can meet the requirements defined by Meta. You shall have the expertise in terms of technology and manufacturing process for the parts like camera module, lens, sensor, display, optics, etc. You will also take the responsibility of quality assurance to make sure the design, assembly, and testing process can meet the requirements defined by Meta. You will oversee the contract manufacturer sites in the development stage as well as mass production phase.

Required Skills:

Supplier Quality Engineer, Meta Responsibilities:

  1. Working with the engineering and purchasing team on the supplier selection.

  2. Risk assessment and qualification for both product and process of individual component supplier and subassembly level manufacturer.

  3. Quality plan definition, alignment and execution for the suppliers and subassembly level manufacturer which includes PFMEA, control plan, CTQ processes, correlated inspection and tester correlation between suppliers and subassembly level manufacturer, reliability qualification and monitoring plan, quality reporting, traceability etc.

  4. Working with the engineering team on process development for the subassembly level part in the development stages.

  5. Review and setup measurement SOP and oversee alignment in the supply chain.

  6. Working with the engineering team to initiate and define the cosmetic inspection method and acceptance criteria.

  7. Process audit and monitoring modules, and their components level part manufacturer for risk assessment and improvement.

  8. Leading for quality problem solving and yield improvement for the modules and their components level part.

  9. Oversee the quality monitoring system for the purchased modules and components level part in the supplier factory.

  10. Review and approval of the modules and their components including test, yield and package design validation.

  11. International travel up to 20% of the time.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  2. Problem-solving and data analyst experience

  3. Communication skills, manage bias and decision making to ensure product performance and business needs.

  4. Process experience as well as manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. End to end components management experience

  2. New supplier auditing and introduction, Certified Quality Engineer, 6 sigma green/black belt is a plus.

  3. Experience with one or more of the following, NPI (New Product Introduction) FATP, DFM (Design For Manufacture), DFMEA, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC and sampling plan definition.

  4. 3+ years experience in the consumer electronics industry

  5. Experience on one of the following, Eye Tracking/Facial Recognition/Depth Sensing/ToF/Display/Optics.

Public Compensation:

$139,000/year to $200,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
