Amazon is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Technical) to join the Smart Glasses team working to build new best-in-class consumer products. We are an innovative, customer-obsessed team working on big-bets in an innovative environment. In the role, you will define, execute, and deliver our product roadmap. This role is inherently cross-functional — you will work closely with engineering, design, and executive teams to bring a consumer product to market and ensure its success.

A successful candidate will be customer obsessed, analytical, collaborative, embody a sense of urgency, able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into products and experiences that customers love.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of a customer-focused product strategy and vision for the next generation smart glasses devices and services.

  • Develop crisp working backwards documents (PR-FAQs) and detailed product requirements that can be used to create product specifications and architecture. Work cross-functionally to deliver the product to market.

  • Lead initiatives throughout various stages of the lifecycle - from ideation to development to launch - while working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and business teams.

  • Own and define the product roadmap based on team vision and strategy. Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to create or improve products and features. Champion and gain buy-in for the strategy and roadmap by influencing internal stakeholders and senior management.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

  • Drive decision making and manage prioritization/trade-offs throughout the product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
