Sr. Program Manager – Microsoft Worldwide Business Desk

Join the Microsoft Worldwide Business Desk team charged with driving Commercial Management programs, and related strategies for the Microsoft Support business. The Services Commercial Management (SCM) team is looking for an experienced Program Manager to drive commercial management programs for the Worldwide Business Desk and specifically Microsoft’s Support business (aka Premier & Unified). What is Commercial Management? It is both the identification and development of business opportunities, and the development of the commercial processes, tools and governance to effectively execute. For Microsoft’s $3b Support business specifically; driving the future state evolution and digitization of its commercial contracting, partnering with business stakeholders to drive joint strategies to mature and scale its commercial concessions, and driving toward a common commercial framework between Support and Licensing.
This role comes in at a critical evolutionary phase for Microsoft’s WW Business Desk and Support businesses. The opportunities for impact are endless.

Developing strong business relationships with key internal stakeholders in WWBD and our Support partners (CE&S, CSU) to clearly understand their business goals, challenges, and priorities. Providing input to strategic thinking and planning for new initiatives and related business models/systems.
Devising and driving strategic projects, most notably the scale and lifecycle management for Support’s commercial concessions (legal, financial, delivery, sales), as well as the future state evolution of Support’s commercial contracting model.
Delivering value through structured program principles; the iron triangle of scope/schedule/budget, risk management and reporting.
Persona and stakeholder mapping. Important given the course of evolution underway between Support and WW Business Desk.
WW Business Desk representative in organizational policy, process, governance and systems design discussions.
Identifying, prioritizing and driving commercial process optimization and standardization for scale
Change management lead and SME for initiatives impacting both WW Business Desk and Support, where applicable.
Engaging with internal SCM and WW Business Desk stakeholders to prioritize and source projects/initiatives as well as capacity as needed.
Minimum of 5 years of either working in Microsoft’s Support business (CE&S) or in Commercial disciplines; contracting, offerings, pricing, strategy.
Minimum of 5 years of Program Management; proven ability to drive programs from small to very large/strategic.
Strong strategic leadership and analytical skills, including ability to assess critical risks and trade-offs.
Demonstrated flexibility - willing to fill in the gaps rather than relying on others where necessary.
Demonstrated ability to seamlessly manage across disciplines, consumers, engineering, compliance, BI, legal, business strategy and others.
Strong competency in Microsoft Office. Should go without saying.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, CS or related discipline
Microsoft Services – Support or MS Volume Licensing experience preferred.
PMP certification or SCRUM Master experience preferred . SCRUM is not just for software anymore.
