We zoom out, look at the big picture, and drive what matters. We are looking for a passionate software engineer to deep dive into complex issues for the Apple Vision Pro. You’ll work cross-functionally to build tools, systems, and use engineering analysis to solve these problems and improve system debug-ability.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong systems level understanding such as operating systems fundamentals, power and performance. Possess the technical breadth to evaluate problems and deep dive into them.

  • Strong software engineering experience to develop diagnostics and tools to debug complex problems

  • Excellent written and verbal skills to collaborate with cross functional teams. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Hands on experience with embedded systems and prototype hardware

  • Proficiency in objective oriented languages such as C++, Python or Swift.

Description

The ideal person for this role is a passionate Software Engineer, working in a deeply technical team. You will work as part of a talented and diverse team to ensure quick resolution of bugs. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Root cause complex problems throughout the Apple Vision Pro Software Stack using log analysis, commit bisection, and hands-on validation. Disambiguate generic problems into unique actionable problems Drive cross functional discussions on high profile problems Define roadmap for triaging process and technology Develop diagnostics and tools to debug and root cause ambiguous problems

Education & Experience

BS or MS in CS, EE, or related, 4+ years of Software Development experience

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
