Required Skills:

Product Design Engineer Responsibilities:

  1. Develop complex mechanical solutions as member of multidisciplinary team.

  2. Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems.

  3. Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to shipping product.

  4. Leverage external teams (CM/JDMA/vendors) to maximize the focus of internal resources on adding value and differentiation to products.

  5. Push state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solving complex mechanical problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field, and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a engineering-related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following:

  2. Design for Manufacturability (DFM)

  3. Statistical tolerance analysis techniques

  4. Design for Assembly (DFA)

  5. Functional dimensioning

  6. GD&T

  7. 3D/2D CAD

  8. Material properties, such as plastics, metal, adhesive, or glass

  9. Testing and analysis, including FEA, Simulation, and Design of Experiments

  10. Design for high volume manufacturing techniques such as injection molding, stamping, or die-casting

  11. Design of products requiring cosmetic surface treatments and interfacing with industrial design teams

  12. NX CAD package.

Public Compensation:

$224,777/year to $231,110/year + bonus + equity + benefits
