Amazon Principal Ops Product Manager, Amazon Devices Product Operations in Sunnyvale, California

Description

The Product Operations group is looking for an individual who wants to work on a business that is growing at a rapid pace. We are seeking a Technical Product Manager to drive business development and the overall growth necessary to build a new business initiative that creates new opportunities for Amazon Devices.

This person will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design and develop innovative consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment. You'll work closely with a team of engineering, manufacturing and supply chain experts to deliver world class products that exceed customer expectations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture.

  • Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational load.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals.

  • Create buy-in for the product vision and strategy with leadership and internal partners

  • Drive decisions across cross-functional teams that include product, engineering, operations, and commercial teams.

In this role, you’ll have complete ownership of several critical customer-facing capabilities that further expand device solution offering. You’ll thrive in this role if you love learning about complex systems, love working with technical teams, are inspired by the idea of inventing new solutions on behalf of customers, and have a persistent desire to improve how things are done.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization

  • Experience working within a high-growth, technology company

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Master's degree

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Demonstrated results in developing business cases that start from the customer.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
