Insight Global Engineering Project Specialist III in Sunnyvale, California

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Engineering Project Coordinator/Specialist to work at one of the largest social networking companies. The Engineering Project Coordinator will work closely with Technical Project Managers, engineering teams, Global Supply Chain Managers, Logistic teams, and overseas vendors. You will be responsible for creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), initiating purchase requests, managing material clear-to-build, helping to solve any logistic issues, and allocating devices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with PLM team and Engineering to create and handle Bill of Materials (BOMs), part numbers, and release design and drawings documentation for EE, ME and System level.

  • Work with team to gather allocations requests for the build, and their split across all configs of the Build Matrix.

  • Create Purchase Requisitions, maintain invoice tracking and Goods Receipts against spend and forecast budget.

  • Communicate with vendors regarding PO/invoice, material requirement, and delivery schedule.

  • Attend build calls with our Asia based engineering team and manufacturing partners.

  • Review Clear-To-Build (CTB) reports, resolve material shortage issues and follow up with GSM, TPM and Engineering team.

  • Manage prototype hardware inventory, internal device distribution.

  • Work with security team on any lost or recalled prototype hardware.

Skills and Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience as an Engineering Program Specialist in consumer electronics environment.

  • Experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) hardware development and collaboration with contract manufacturers in Asia.

  • Experience in creating and tracking BOM (Bill of Materials) and Build Matrix by working with Engineering, TPMs and PLM team to complete design releases and CTB (Clear-To-Build) tracking.

  • Strong cross-functional communication and interpersonal skills across time-zones and management of shifting priorities. * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience are preferred. null
