Job Description

The bioelectronics team works to develop new technologies for the Bosch Healthcare solutions business unit ( www.bosch-healthcare.com ). We work on cutting edge technologies in the field of molecular diagnostics and are seeking a person with strong experience in synthetic organic chemistry to work closely with our team of engineers and scientists. The primary responsibilities will be synthesis and characterization of electroactive biomolecules with application-specific properties.

Qualifications

Required Qualification:

  • Experience in multi-step organic synthesis and purification of organic compounds

  • Hands-on experience with standard characterization methods (NMR, HPLC, MS, flash-chromatography, UV-Vis)

  • High level of written and oral communication

  • Strong team player who can work independently with minimum supervision

Desired Qualification:

  • Experience in synthesis of modified nucleotides

  • Experience in chemical modification, purification, and characterization of nucleic acids (PCR, qPCR, gel-electrophoresis, enzymatic digestion, etc.)

Additional Information

The U.S. base salary range for this intern position is $44.00-$53.00 hourly. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, type of degree, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, type of position, job location, etc. Your Hiring Manager can share more details about the specific salary range for this position during the interview process.
