What you will do: Prepare field seed beds and flag sites Seed cleaning, seed treatment and set-up of experiments Seed small plot field trials and nurseries Establish and maintain nurseries through herbicide application, fertilizing, discing, weeding, rogueing, etc. Operate small plot field equipment such as tractors, seeders, sprayers and tillage tools Take accurate and precise agronomic notes Operate a small plot combine or swather Prepare land for fall through application of herbicides and fertilizer under the direction of site personnel Calibrate equipment and conduct maintenance Assist technicians, agronomists and plant breeders with other duties as required What you will bring: High School Diploma or GED required Ability to lift 50lbs Ability to travel as required Compensation & Benefits: The estimated salary that Indeed, Glassdoor and LinkedIn suggested does not represent Nutrien's compensation structure. Salary range$15.65 - $21.52 an hour. This range is estimated for Seasonal Field Support Technician in Sunnyside, WA. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location. Our benefit package provides paid sick days. However, given the temporary nature of this role, this position does not participate in any other benefit, retirement savings or paid time off programs, nor any form of incentive compensation. This position is eligible for overtime and any pay elements required under local, state or federal law. Nutrien will comply with benefit and retirement regulations.
