Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities
- Frame buildings, and other structures by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
- Install floors, siding, cabinets, drywall, windows, doors, trim moulding and insulation
- Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed
- Cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material according to measurements
- Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
- Have a basic understanding of building codes and comply with all company and governmental guidelines
- Have knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA)
- Read and interpret blueprints, techical drawings and job scopes
