We are looking to add an Outside Sales Representative to our team in Sunbury, OH. This person will promote sales activity to existing and new customers with the goal of expanding profit for the company. Our ideal candidate will be highly motivated with advanced skills in multitasking and relationship building. This is a faced paced position that requires attention to detail, conflict resolution, and a proactive competitive mindset.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain sales for current company assigned customers to enhance the business relationships and maximize growth.
  • Develop and expand new business with current customers to request quotes for new orders.
  • Prepare and negotiate price quotations with accuracy in the order entry process.
  • Control the sales order with forecast orders that will maintain the inventory level of the about 40-60 accounts.
  • Enter business information via EDI and customer portal sites.
  • Use a motivating, proactive, and competitive mindset to achieve higher results and set challenging goals that will exceed expectations.
  • Support the Sales Manager to accomplish goals with the department.
  • Work with other departments to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed in a company provided vehicle (2-5 times monthly, on average).
  • Other duties, as needed.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • College degree preferred (technical, marketing, business).
  • One to three years outside sales or B2B experience preferred in the following industries: fastener-automotive parts, mechanical type product parts such as appliances, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) sales or larger parts distributer sales.
  • Ability to read and understand parts drawings or blueprints.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Comfortable with using advanced critical thinking skills to navigate through direct customer contact, conflict resolution, and multitasking while remaining calm under pressure.
  • Integrity and honesty in communicating deadlines with customers and other departments to develop win- win relationships.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with a team.
  • Valid Driver License.

     

This is primarily a sedentary position that involves sitting most of the time and may include walking and standing for brief periods and occasional driving.
