Description

Prior experience in finance and strong communication skills are crucial for this Sr. Financial Analyst role via Robert Half. An exciting Agriculture company with plenty of room for growth is looking a qualified applicant to join their team. This job consists of conducting financial modeling on various financial products as well as measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans, advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives, and preparing reports for management. Major responsibilities

  • Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis

  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • An ideal candidate should be highly flexible, comfortable with large amounts of information, and adept at managing expectations

  • Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary

  • Edit and manage forecasting reports

  • Work alongside senior executives on strategic deep dives to create financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization

  • Understand and be able to explain internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Survey performance to date and assess potential opportunities and risks

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly

  • Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Keep track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations and enabling business partners to handle their resources

    Requirements - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

  • Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience preferable)

  • BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

  • Experience in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

  • CPA experience

  • Power BI experience

  • Dynamics experience highly desired

  • Financial planning experience

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) experience required

  • Adeptness in Annual Inventory

  • Skill with Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required

  • Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required

  • Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
