WASHINGTON MILLS CERAMICS CORP Maintenance Technician in SUN PRAIRIE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Maintenance Technician position is involved with the maintenance and installation of all major equipment and building systems. This includes production equipment and all areas related to mechanical and structural building upkeep. Projects will cover troubleshooting equipment and systems, working with outside vendors for larger installation or repair projects, and direct repair and maintenance of a variety of machines and components. *Work with the maintenance group on all major equipment maintenance projects. This includes but it is not limited to extruders, media cutters, high-intensity mixers, kilns, industrial burners, dust collectors, vacuum pumps, and conveyors *Perform weekly and monthly PM tasks as well as various scheduled machine audits *Assist in developing preventative maintenance plans for all critical machines and systems *Work with EHS group to complete relevant safety audits and contribute to safety-related projects Additional duties as needed Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment. Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components of machinery or equipment. Disassemble machinery or equipment to remove parts and make repairs. Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs. Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear. Record repairs and maintenance performed. Operate newly repaired machinery or equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs. Study blueprints or manufacturers\' manuals to determine correct installation or operation of machinery. Cut and weld metal to repair broken metal parts, fabricate new parts, or assemble new equipment.
