THIS IS FOR A FUTURE OPENING

Chaplain

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Provide spiritual services and guidance while respecting people’s unique experiences

  • Create and open and inviting environment, reflecting diverse life experiences, free of judgment

  • Counsel distressed and bereaved individuals and families while providing helpful strategies for understanding and healing

  • Provide spiritual guidance to patients and family members of the patient when a disabling injury or death occurs

  • Conducting and assisting at funerals as needed

  • Experience in direct ministry and counseling; roles as a family pastor is a plus

  • Experience in hospice care or working in a clinic or hospital with those experiencing illness or disability

Required SkillsRequired Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:  

  • Two years of pastoral staff experience

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or greater) of Clinical Pastoral Education approved by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (or approved equivalent approved by SCV
