Responsibilities

PALMETTO SUMMERVILLE IS HIRING PRN NURSES FOR DAY, EVENING AND NIGHT SHIFT!!!

Palmetto Summerville Behavioral Health is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 7-18 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency relate d illnesses.

The RN Key Responsibilities include:

  • Administers medications as ordered; instructs residents in use of medication.

  • Monitor staff & residents throughout shift

  • Ensure the safety of residents by ensuring that precautions are being followed as written by physician

  • Ensure that daily schedule is being followed as outlined

  • Attend unit shift report

  • Communicate any changes to the daily schedule to the DON immediately

    Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Current SC RN license in good standing.

  • Strong Assessment & precise documentation skills required.

  • Demonstrated experience of atleast one year with adolescent or behavioral health population preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written skills, as a primary channel of communication for physicians, therapists, caseworkers, MHTs and program managers.

  • Good organizational skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as a supportive team member.

  • Knowledge of general and child/adolescent psychiatric nursing, therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors.

  • Work independently in providing assessments and evaluations of patients.
