Global Science & Technology Technical Engineer in Suitland-Silver Hill, Maryland

Suitland-Silver Hill, MD, USA | Salary | Full Time

Global Science & Technology, a growing scientific and high technology firm, is seeking a Technical Engineer to support a technical and operational support services contract. The position is located in Suitland, MD. The Technical Engineer will work in the operations center performing monitoring and analysis of space traffic products and computational processes.

This position is contingent upon contract award

Position Summary:

  • Support Third-party SSA data products and services acquisition and work with the SI contractor to onboard third-party SSA vendors ensuring technical content quality standards are met.

  • Ensure quality is being produced in the DevTest environment before moving to the operation environment.

  • Support the operations team as required.

    Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • BS Degree in Engineering, Physics/Astronomy, Computer Science, or related field

  • 5-10 years of experience

  • U.S. Citizenship with an active Secret Clearance required.

  • Experience with software systems, development environments, or programming languages (Python, Linux)

  • Experience in Orbital Analysis.

  • Personnel will be certified as qualified to perform duties every year to ensure proficiency of skillset.

  • Experience performing CA for mega-constellations.

  • Experience analyzing orbital state vectors and propagated ephemerides with covariances.

  • Experience performing CA for NASA high-value RSO's
