Job Description:

FGS, LLC is seeking a qualified Electronic Security System Technician experienced in all aspects of design, installation, and sustainment of modern access control and intrusion detection systems to support the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), at the Suitland Federal Center in Suitland, MD. Preferred candidates will have an active Top Secret Security clearance with a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility determination, and at least 5 years’ experience in design and sustainment of enterprise grade access control and intrusion detection systems. Personnel filing this role will be a member of a team of security professionals, technicians, and systems administrators tasked with design, implementation, and follow-on maintenance of current and future deployed systems.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough site surveys to identify requirements for security solutions.

  • Install and maintain physical security systems in accordance with design drawings and site requirements.

  • Execute product research to provide solutions for site security needs and challenges.

  • Review, understand, and implement guidance from documents such as the IC Tech Spec-for ICD/ICS 705

  • Generate system design drawings (Design, Layout, Elevation, One-lines, Floor Plans, etc.)

  • Position will also support responding to and correcting current system issues.

  • Position may be required to support after hours calls on occasion.

  • Performs scheduled, routine preventive maintenance on a wide variety of security equipment and systems.

Required Qualifications:

Significant Experience with the following:

  • Ability to generate, read, and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Basic understanding of relays, DC and AC voltage, color codes, termination techniques, and industry standard installation practices

  • Physically able to move, carry, and climb ladders to support installation actions and preventive and corrective maintenance functions.

  • Understand general concepts in other Life Safety Systems, i.e., Fire Alarm

  • Knowledge and understanding of sensor and systems integration with intrusion detection systems, such as analog and network based Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), fence line detection systems, and access control devices.

  • Knowledge of basic Internet Protocol (IP) switching and routing

  • Ability to generate detailed and accurate technical documentation and communicate clearly through written and verbal methods.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experienced with AccessNite (Quintron) systems and software.

  • Experienced with SALTO electronic access control systems.

  • Experienced in the Intelligence Community or Military environment preferred.

  • Current certification holder through ASIS (APP, PSP, or CPI)

  • Current DoD Cyber Security Workforce Certification of Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II or higher

  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
