Aerotek Maintenance Technician II in Suffolk, Virginia

Description:

As a Maintenance Technician III you will lead service technicians on the team in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects.

• Lead, manage and train teams of technicians

• Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment (Ex: conveyors)

• Ability to install and maintain-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders

• Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs

• Complete assigned PMs and provide feedback on any improvements that might be needed.

Preferred Industries & Equipment: Candidate from Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, Industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment (running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, creating work orders), specifically experience with conveyors

Secondary: Candidate from Automotive, Military, Industrial Facilities Maintenance, etc. industries that have experience performing maintenance on complex systems and equipment (running diagnostics, inspections, troubleshooting, repairing, creating work orders)

Education: preferred candidates would have an associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, hands on training related to maintenance field
