Job Description

The Air Force JNTC Liason Analyst provides analysis and advice on strategic, operational, and tactical assessments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Liaison Analyst will conduct studies, needs assessments, requirements analysis definitions and will work a broad spectrum of tasks requiring analytical skills in a variety of areas of military training, operational planning, research science, military, wargaming, acquisition/business training, and military intelligence capabilities. 

  • Liaisons provide reliable, consistent advice and thought-provoking recommendations to various audiences in training and real-world events. 

  • The Liaison will conduct their duties co-located with the Service they are assigned and provide expert advice to the Service representatives on JNTC matters and processes. 

  • The Liaison will conduct Accreditation and Certification events, mitigation events, and other assessment events as needed in support of their Service programs and sites.

Qualifications

Education

Minimum bachelor’s degree required. A Master’s Degree or higher is preferred. 

Experience

A minimum of 15 years of experience related to military operational work with senior General Officers (GO), Flag Officers (FO), or Senior Executive Service (SES) is required.

Experienced expert in areas such as:  

  • Military Science  

  • International affairs  

  • Information Operations 

  • Opposing Forces (OPFOR) 

  • Logistics Support 

  • Joint Fires 

  • Cyber  

  • Space Based Operations 

  • Electronic Warfare 

  • Command and Control  

  • Military operations 

  • Engineering 

  • Counter-terrorism 

  • Have experience providing analyses, conclusions, recommendations, and courses of action, both written and verbal.  

  • Performed reliable, consistent advice and thought-provoking recommendations to various audiences in military training and real-world events. 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to command.  

  • Skilled in developing a command philosophy that reflects the approach to command and is actionable.  

  • Knowledgeable in building unit cohesion, will & resiliency. 

  • Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to training.  

  • Knowledgeable in doctrinal approaches to tactical decision-making & planning.  

  • Knowledgeable in multi-domain environment warfighting challenges.  

  • Knowledgeable in emerging challenges (EMS, CUAS, SIGMAN, OIE). 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

  • Proficient in computer applications such as Windows and MS Office

  • Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.

Additional Information

  • Ability to obtain or have a security clearance

  • Requires CONUS and OCONUS travel

  • Daily travel in the local area during the workday (including the use of a personal vehicle)

  • Required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and maintain focus.

  • May be required to lift, carry, and move computers and associated equipment.

  • Skillbridge Internships will be considered.

  • Start Date: 1 May 2024

  • Required to perform work in connection with a covered contract and, therefore, must comply with Safer Federal Workforce standards
