GE Aerospace Lead Engineer - Operations in Subang, Malaysia

Job Description Summary

Drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Directly involve in supporting production team on engine shop process and engine workscoping.

  • Managing engine workscopes for shop induction pipeline.

  • Driving cost saving initiatives by either Challenging engine workscope status quo or researching engine part/component historical data via CFMI/OEM salesforce or MRB review board.

  • Lead/manage engine investigations to determine root causes of engine issues that supports fleet management.

  • Raise inquiries to CFMI/OEM to salvage / save parts.

  • Support of production with part defect interpretation/finalization.

  • Root cause and corrective actions (RCCA) and application of statistical control. You will have input into ensuring safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.

  • Applying LEAN and Six Sigma principles to drive productivity.

  • On time delivery.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Degree in Aviation, Mechanical or relevant engineering field.

  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
