Leidos Graphics Designer/ Systems Design Developer in Stuttgart, Germany

Description

Are you interested in continuing your career in Europe in a mission focused environment? Leidos has position to fil in the European theater supporting the Department of Defense. We are looking for experienced, innovative, and motivated IT Specialists to support EUCOM's mission objectives.

What You'll Get to Do:

Leidos may have an excellent opportunity to fill an opening for a Graphics Designer and Systems Design Developer. This position will support a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US EUCOM located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany.

This position is required to travel OCONUS.

The designer will work with a Product Owner and technical teams to develop graphics for internal marketing campaigns. Additionally, the successful candidate will Illustrate design concepts using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps. Will have expert knowledge of typography and typographic principles, branding and design experience for responsive web, color theory, and have an eye for modern design. Must have experience with basic design tools in the Adobe Creative Suite and have technical development experience with both SharePoint tools and custom developed solutions in .NET/Angular/Bootstrap. Designs elegant, simple, human-centric flows and experiences as we define new initiatives and iterate on existing features.

More About the Role:

Shall possess the ability to:

  • Build eye catching informational graphics using the Adobe Suite

  • Design clean user experiences in accordance with modern design principles

  • Clearly articulate designs to development teams and product owners

  • Translate designs into front end interfaces using HTML5(header, section, article, etc tags), CSS3(selectors, viewports, and media queries)

  • Must have ability to present as storyboards, mockups, or functional shell interface

  • Must have expertise in Figma/Axure, Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Creative Suite

  • Must have a working knowledge of modern design frameworks such as Google Material, Bootstrap

  • Strong knowledge of design principles such as responsive design, graceful degradation, progressive enhancement, and adaptive design

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Systems Design, Front End Development or similar type role.

  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills and able to work in an open office environment.

  • Must have strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leaders

  • Must possess IAT Level II certification(s) IAW DoD 8570.1

  • Top Secret DOD Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI

  • Must be able to meet TESA requirements,

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree and 4 yrs Exp. (Part of TESA)

  • Must be a team player who can communicate well, positively adapt, prioritize effectively, and quickly respond in a high-paced, close-knit, collective open working environment.

  • Must possess proven experience working in a complex technology-driven enterprise solutions/systems implementation environment.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • Working Knowledge of CSS Grid System

  • Experience working in an AGILE development environment.

  • Involvement with Front End Developer/Systems Design professional communities, active in forums or newsgroups.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $68,900.00 - $124,550.00
