Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Description/Job Summary

Schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00 p.m. to 7:30a.m., including overtime as needed.

Job Summary: Responsible for maintaining instrumentation and PLC's on plant equipment. Understand or successfully complete training on basic PLC programming /ladder logic. Plan, layout, install and repair a wide variety of complex equipment including automatic/robotic machine and process controls, control centers and panels, relays, circuit breakers, electronic controls and switch gears. Attend training to stay current on industry standards; learn programming language as time permits. Perform tasks generally associated with electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of plant and facility equipment. Follow all policies and procedures (safety standards and GMP'), maintain required company records and forms, report any defective equipment or questionable conditions to the appropriate person(s). Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must possess a minimum of 3 years electrical or industrial automation experience.

  • Must possess an associate degree, state-recognized apprenticeship/license or a combination of education and work experience.

  • Must be detail oriented and self-directed with a customer-service mindset.

  • Must be able to work independently and as an effective team member.

  • Must be able to use advanced trades mathematics together with complicated drawings, schematic, specifications involving thorough technical skill knowledge and application of basic theory.

  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and turn throughout the day.

  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. as needed.

  • Must be able to distinguish colors.

  • Must be able to climb to various levels in the facility using ladders.

  • Must be able to wear required PPE.

    Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience in food or chemical industry preferred.
