ROLE DEFINITION
The DuPont Stow Works site (Stow, Ohio) has immediate openings for Visual and Dimensional Visual Inspectors. The Stow Works site manufactures heat and wear resistant aerospace composite parts for both commercial and military airplane applications.
This position performs various operations necessary to produce aerospace parts, adhering to all applicable company rules and regulations, legal regulations, and standards (AS9100D) while also meeting production schedules. Everyday performance of duties in this position must be done in an ethical manner with safety as the primary responsibility.
The DuPont Stow Works site is a clean, climate controlled light manufacturing facility.
The Stow Works Visual and Dimensional Inspector role works a rotating 12-hour shift including holidays, weekends, and overtime. Pay starts at $21.60/hour and a $2.00 shift premium is added for all rotating shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION
Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:
Visually inspect final product for defects, FOD (foreign object debris), and adherence to customer specifications
Use inspection gages, i.e. micrometers, calipers, automated gages, and templates
Ensure quality and conformance with standard operating procedures and standard equipment instructions
Complete in-house training to obtain visual and dimensional inspection stamps
Potential to operate presses, ovens, and basic assembly equipment
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required
Previous visual inspection experience is highly preferred
Knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and 5S organizational practice is preferred
Successful candidates will need to be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation, including the following:
Willing and able to occasionally lift and move objects weighing up to 55 lbs.
Willing and able to wear a respirator and/or other PPE as required

Bonus Details:
You will receive two bonus payments of $500 payable after 30 and 90 days of employment. Upon completing onboarding/training and 90 days of employment, you will be eligible for a $500 hiring bonus that is contingent on having reliable attendance and meeting your training expectations.
