CNC Programmer - Stow, OH - Job 24-00371 Pay: $27.00 - 35.00/HR Permanent Position with Benefits. A local manufacturing company near Akron, OH is seeking to hire an experienced CNC Programmer. Requirements • A minimum of five years running and setting up CNC verticals, horizontal, lathes, and 5X machining centers is a plus. • At least three years of programming on CAM software for all the above machines. • A thorough understanding of G and M code and the ability to edit programs are crucial for this role. • In-depth knowledge of cutting tools, speeds, feeds, chip load, and surface foot. • At least three years of CAD software experience and know how to create tooling, fixtures, and models from flat 2D drawings (dxf, dwg) to 3D solids. • Read Blueprints, geometric tolerancing, isometric views, orthographic views, surface finish callouts, tolerancing, fits, and All symbols. • Able to calculate the weight of different types of material, convert inches to metric units, and convert metric units to inches. • Mathematic understanding. Advanced geometry, and trigonometry are a plus. • Able to communicate effectively, trouble shoot, problem solve, work alone or in a team environment.
