DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

EMCOR Services Northeast has an immediate opening for a Journeyman Commercial HVAC Service Technician in the Greater Boston area. The HVAC Service Technician must have knowledge of chiller systems, refrigeration, heat pumps, and HVAC equipment. This position will be responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on HVAC systems.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems.

  • Support the office with recommended repairs from delivery to completion.

  • Available for emergency service calls through normal “on call” rotation.

  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors and co-workers.

  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.

  • Participate in the ongoing training available to our team to keep updated on the newest equipment and latest software for HVAC equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of field experience at the journeyman commercial level.

  • EPA Certification (608) Universal License.

  • MA Refrigeration license.

  • Knowledge and experience in the proper use and safe operation of hand tools, equipment, and testing devices necessary to perform all work assignments.

  • Strong oral and written communication required.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and perform duties with minimal supervision in isolated areas.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.

  • Valid Driver’s license and able to maintain a good driving record.
