Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field, and demonstrated knowledge of/education in statistical packages including C++, R, and Matlab, as well as a record of research in applied mathematics/statistics/biostatistics.Brief Description of Duties:
The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (Stony Brook, NY) at Stony Brook University seeks Data Manager/Biostatistician. Duties:

  • Work with investigators, research coordinators, medical students, and post-graduate fellows to complete various translational and clinical research projects. Collaborate with other statisticians.
  • Apply statistical skills to the design of research studies.
  • Work as a member of a research/study team to provide appropriate statistical input in the design, execution, and analysis of studies.
  • Perform statistical analyses under the direction of Senior Biostatistician and Investigators.
  • Process large amounts of data for statistical modeling and graphic analysis.
  • Assist in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, monitoring, verification, and management of statistical data.
  • Participate in preparation of written and oral presentations that summarize the analysis of data, interpret the findings, and provide conclusions and recommendations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
