Amergis RN - Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement in Stockton, California

$2,400 - 2,600 / week

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Quality Improvement Registered Nurse responsible for analyzing, developing, monitoring and implementing clinical initiatives to achieve healthy outcomes as well as improving patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties and functions to comply with quality improvement program according to state requirements

  • Supports Quality Assurance Performance work plans and initiatives

  • Schedules and assists with committee and sub-committee preparation

  • Assists in investigations and resolution of member quality of care complaints

  • Audits medical records and monitors performance measures for health care risk management, sentinel events and trends

  • Oversees and monitors the development and implementation of the quality improvement program

  • Applies and teaches techniques for system design, re-engineering, quality improvement, outcome measurements and statistical analysis

  • Develops and maintains all appropriate records and documentation

  • Evaluates and assures on-going progress in QI activities

  • Maintains confidentiality of the internal audit reports

  • Promotes an awareness of the importance of data validity and security

  • Performs quality assurance checks of documentation workflows and clinical data in the applicable clinical applications software

  • Participates in planning and coordination of specific training and educational programs as appropriate to QI needs of the facility or service

  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse license required

  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred

  • Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred

  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred

  • Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies used in healthcare

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills applied on the job

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required

  • Computer proficiency required
