    About this position:

    As a condition of employment, all applicants are required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Wage Range: $23.00-$33.50 per hour, depending on experience. 

Farwest’s Sales Department, seeks a customer oriented and driven individual to join their Stockton team as Inside Sales Representative. In this role, you will process requests for quotations and orders from customers, while providing a service solution to customer’s by utilizing all divisions of Farwest Steel.

 Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Responsible for receiving incoming calls and all data entry of customer quotes and orders.

  • Thorough review and verification of customer specifications to ensure accurate quoted prices.

  • Maintain up to date knowledge on current inventory levels in order to appropriately convert quotes to orders. 

  • Educate customer on depth of services and scope of current inventory in all Divisions of Farwest Steel Corporation.

  • Communicate processing capabilities and expectations to customers and outside vendors.

  • Timely follow up on all quotes and orders regarding feedback on pricing, quality, and delivery information.

  • Interdepartmental communication:

  • Communicate with credit department regarding status of customer accounts.

  • Communicate with warehouse and operations team members to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Track and acknowledge any changes to orders and verify revisions.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.  

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Higher education in a related field.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints. 

  • Experienced with computers and data entry.

  • Proficient in using professional telephone techniques.

  • Understanding of basic mathematical calculations.

    Professional Competencies:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as a problem solver as well as work within a team environment of diverse individuals.

  • Courteous professional conduct with both customers and coworkers.

  • Ability to adapt to different social settings and situations.

  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain focus.
