In this role, you will be joining the Stockholm-based live low latency streaming team. We deliver Sye, a revolutionary streaming platform primarily used for live sporting events. Our ambition is to drastically improve the customer experience of watching live streams by providing minimal latency and synchronized playback to all viewers across the globe.

As a Software Development Engineer on our live low latency streaming backend team, you will take a leading role to reinvent and improve the components providing live streaming capabilities to end user applications.

Key job responsibilities

  • Building customer-facing applications, tools, and workflows that streamline and scale the Builder Relations team.

  • Partnering with people of different roles, backgrounds, and organizations to build automation and tools.

  • Participating in all stages of the software development life-cycle, spanning design, development, testing, and operation.

  • Iterating on product features based on user feedback. Acting as your own PM when necessary.

  • Building and operating entire applications end-to-end, across UI, API, Database, and Infrastructure.

  • Participating in design and security reviews for team members to help improve the quality of all our services.

Your typical day will involve lots of coding, system design, problem solving, design reviews, various operational tasks and fun with your colleagues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Demonstrated non-internship professional software development experience

  • Experience in design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience of the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

  • Expert in TypeScript or JavaScript on frontend and backend
