Title: Presales Lead, Modern Workplace, Nordics

Introduction:

The Technology, Avanade X, and Advisory Business Groups (BG) are Avanade’s growth engines responsible for developing market relevant capabilities and solutions to help clients resolve critical business and technology issues. In support of our strong growth ambitions, we are activating a Presales function as a link between Sales and Practices.

As Presales Lead, you will deliver relevant and sustainable customer technical proposals based on advanced knowledge of the IT industry and the geography which you are assigned. You will be a technical counterpart to the Business Developers and ACALs, and support sales by providing technical expertise, acting as a customer interface to Avanade technology solutions, offerings, and technical capabilities during Avanade's sales process (DEEPR). Additionally, you will have a customer-focused mindset and understand how to translate customer needs into technical solutions. Overall, you will develop a network of customer relationships, and meet with customers to understand their needs, challenges, and requirements.

This role reports to the Region SA Lead and works closely with Practice Leadership and sales community.

What you’ll do:

As a link between sales and consulting, you will:

  • Work with the Business Developers and Account Leaders as a technical expert and architect to contribute to the development and execution of solution selling strategies and account plans.

  • Guide customer through the discovery process to develop a sustainable and innovative technical solution that balances customer and Avanade requirements.

  • Support all phases of the DEEPR sales process, interlock and joint plan with Microsoft STUs.

  • Develop technical value propositions that address customer needs and positively differentiate Avanade.

  • Build technical relationships with customer IT, and map customer business and technology challenges into Avanade solutions.

  • Work with the opportunity owner and SA/Practice to define initial vision, scope, approach and estimation for technical aspects of proposal development activities.

  • Support the negotiation and contracting process through balancing scope, resources, and milestone requirements.

Skills and experiences:

Your technical and non-technical skills will likely include:

  • Solution design based on the Microsoft platforms & third-party solutions, creation of SDDs (Solution Design Documents) for critical processes, design and deliver modern workplace solutions that align with customer goals and industry best practices, leveraging Microsoft 365 capabilities such as Intune, Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, and Security.

  • Relevant technology delivery and business leadership experience, including solution sales, creation, delivery, and business management

  • Experience supporting the sale of outsourcing / managed services deals and/or other large-scale engagements that include significant offshore delivery.

  • Knowledge of the latest trends and best practices in modern workplace transformation, such as employee engagement, productivity, collaboration, and security. Continuously learn and update skills on the latest technologies and trends in the modern workplace domain.

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills across multiple levels and functions, as well as demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex and ambiguous scenarios.

  • Engage with customers to understand their business needs and challenges, and map them to the Microsoft 365 suite of solutions.

  • Provide thought leadership and guidance on modern workplace transformation, including change management, adoption, and governance strategies.

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to deliver end-to-end modern workplace solutions that meet customer requirements and expectations.
