Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health Massage Therapist (Per Diem) in Stockbridge, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY The Massage Therapist supports the Healing Arts Department team and provides excellent, professional massage services to guests as part of an integrated healing experience. This role is responsible for performing therapeutic massages on guests while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, and clean environment. Th ideal candidate should have excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Time management is essential in this role. We are looking for someone who is friendly and professional and takes pride in providing a high level of service to guests. The candidate should be highly organized and can adapt quickly to changing priorities. SCHEDULE Per Diem ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES - Performs multiple modalities of quality, while giving exceptional guest service. - Creates an environment of safety for the guests, handling questions and concerns professionally and courteously; accurately listens to clients during the massage and adjust pressure/techniques to meet their needs - Maintains proper start/stop times for treatments, per Healing Arts protocol. - Works independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team - Ensures guest satisfaction and comfort throughout the treatment - Handles guests\' questions and concerns professionally and courteously - Ability to stand, bend and perform duties required - Maintains composure, even in difficult situations - Performs prep work and properly clean and restock room as required. - Stays informed of departmental/company information and updates through email communications and staff meetings (seasonal). - Understands all products and proper usage - Other duties as assigned. MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS - Must Possess a MA License in Massage Therapy - Effective verbal, written and listening skills
