We are hiring a Accountant for our manufacturing facility in Stilwell, OK. This position, under direct or general supervision, is responsible for performing accounting functions in the following areas: Primarily Cost and related general ledger.

    Responsibilities:

    This job may participate in one or more of the following duties as directed by supervision or management.

  • Assist with monthly close which includes completing accounting accruals and journal entries, analyzing cost and expense-related accounts, preparing schedules and reports.

  • Completes projects associate with driving business results.

  • Prepares schedules and analyses for internal and external use, as required.

  • Prepares and analyzes management reports including historical cost analyses, daily production performance, maintenance and supply spend, overtime reports, and budget vs. actual comparisons, others as required.

  • Reviews plant policies, manufacturing statements and journal entries to ensure compliance with corporate policies and guidelines.

  • Assists with the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan. Assists with the preparation of plant monthly and annual performance forecasts.

  • Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries for cost center and cost element/account classifications.

  • Assists plant functional groups in proper transactional processes to ensure accurate cost and inventory records.

  • Applies and interprets generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Assists in the preparation or gathering of schedules for independent auditors as required.

  • May perform additional accounting tasks/analyses in areas such as fixed assets, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, etc., as required.

  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.

    Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree

  • Years of Related Experience: Typically, 0-3 years related experience

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Moderate PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Knowledge/experience with ERP systems and reporting tools (for example: SAP, SQL, Cognos, Business Warehouse).

  • Effective use of reading, writing, oral communication skills, presentation, and project management techniques

  • Highly analytical. Problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively within team setting.

  • Ability to work independently with general supervision.

  • Solid understanding of cost analysis, accounting procedures, programs, and processes.

  • Intermediate skills in the development of cost ratios and comparative analyses; thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
