Preparing sign material such as wood, plastics, aluminum, steel, and poster by sanding, painting, cutting, or engraving to specifications with x-acto knives, table saw, drills, joiner, beveller, spray equipment, and sanders.\ \ Operate computerized sign-making equipment to cut plastic laminate for name tags, desk plates, room identification, etc. per OSU and ADA guidelines.\ \ Sign installation which includes installing signs on doors, walls, poles, etc by means of screws, glue and/or special mounting devices\ \ Work scheduling, record keeping, and maintain stock of supplies.\ \ Cleans and maintain equipment and work area.\ \ Work may involve being around chemicals rated hazardous, plastic fumes or odor; equipment noise; plastic, wood, and metal shavings are byproducts of production.\ \ This position is heavy in manual labor and requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and in excess of 50 pounds occasionally.\ \ The employee in this position may be required to work overtime after 4 pm, and/or shift work when management deems necessary.
