JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position is responsible for providing guidance, leadership, and service in the Wellness Center and throughout the YMCA facility. Additional responsibilities include providing building manager and emergency response for the YMCA during assigned hours. PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS Skills: Preferred experience in health and fitness and using fitness center equipment. Must be able to perform physical functions necessary to program instruction, including but not limited to squatting, bending, kneeling, spotting program participants and demonstrating use of Wellness Center equipment. Competencies: Passion for wellness, an understanding of individual challenges with achieving wellness goals, and strong relationship-building skills. You must be able to effectively present information and respond to inquiries at an individual or small group level. Other critical competencies include initiative, motivational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
