JOB REQUIREMENTS: Determine the most efficient, cost effective way to manufacture customer products. Use the Lion application to prepare and provide quotes for the customer in an accurate and timely manner. Review RFQs (Request for Quote) issued by customer or sales representative received by e-mail, hardcopy or previously printed sample for accuracy, cost saving initiatives, and other factors such as waste and labor affected by precise pricing. Plan the manufacturing process by calculating appropriate page layout, material requirements and manufacturing workflow and enter into system. Generate quote letter for customer that contains product specifications, materials, and pricing. Correspond with vendors, outside suppliers, customers, sales representatives, and other necessary contacts via e-mail or phone to ensure job planning, pricing stays on target, and issues are resolved. Research and analyze any outside supplier pricing necessary to complete requested quotes. Maintain positive relations with internal and external customers. Continually identify, develop, and implement improvements in work processes. Consistently and effectively serve as a positive role model by living Sheridan\'s core values. Other duties as assigned. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Associate\'s degree in related field or equivalent experience in book manufacturing or related experience required. Knowledge and understanding of print and binding processes beneficial. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to demonstrate professional image and demeanor in all interactions. Ability to meet deadlines required. Ability to learn and use company-specific computer applications and software required. Ability to consistently and effectively work independently with little or no direction and follow up to complete assignments required. Ability to demonstrate competence in functional area. Ability to consistently and effectively demonstrate leadership; team commitment; and innovation. Ability to maintain confidential information.
