JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 21077 Position Title: Assistant Professor of Math Education and Assessment TTC Title and Code: Assistant Professor (FA040) FTE: 100% Principal Work Location: UW-Stevens Point Main Campus, College of Professional Studies Supervisor: Assistant Dean, Head of the School of Education Position Summary The successful candidate for this position will teach undergraduate courses in early childhood, elementary, and middle level math methods and in education assessment for students seeking licensure in grades PK-9 who are majoring in one or more of the following areas: elementary, early childhood, and/or special education. There may be opportunities to teach related courses at the graduate level in the master\'s and/or doctoral programs. The ability to develop and maintain collaborative and productive working relationships with the Elementary Methods Block Faculty Team and with local school systems is required. Other responsibilities include department and other level service activities, advising, mentoring, professional development. Student teacher supervision may also be a part of the teaching load. This is a nine-month academic year appointment. Summer teaching may be available. ABD\'s nearing completion will also be considered. -Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of full-time teaching experience at the PK-9 level, with significant experience in teaching mathematics and/or administration, interpretation, and utilization of a wide variety of educational assessments. -Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations. -Clearly articulated scholarly agenda and scholarship record consistent with rank at the time of hire. -Ability to work well in a faculty team setting.
