Leidos Senior Software Engineer in Sterling, Virginia

Description

Leidos are currently seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on experience to join our dynamic team in Sterling, VA. This opportunity will provide professional growth that is singularly focused on providing world class solutions to our customers in an exciting, rewarding, collaborative, and inclusive environment.

Although the position does allow for telecommuting, the candidate will be required to attend occasional customer meetings locally. Candidate must be local to the DMV area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug web application software using modern software development languages and framework, such as Spring Boot , Java , Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript.

  • Use Agile development tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven to manage work and collaborate with your teams.

  • Support creation and updating of all relevant documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing.

  • Plan and estimate development tasks and work to improve performance metrics.

  • Develop automated tests leveraging a continuous integration process such as Jenkins and Selenium.

  • Perform system administration and database administration to support internal development environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of software development experience.

  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Java, Hibernate, JPA, Oracle, and REST.

  • Hands-on experience with JavaScript and SPA frameworks such as Angular 2+.

  • Hands-on experience of a version control system (e.g., BitBucket/Git).

  • Hands-on experience of build tools such as Maven and Ant.

  • Hands-on experience of web application technologies, such as Apache Httpd and Tomcat.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL and Relational Database Management System such as Oracle and/or MySQL.

  • Hands-on experience with shell scripting.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete tasking independently with minimal direct supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplined engineering team.

  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
