The Hertz Corporation GSA Specialist in Sterling, Virginia

The General Services Administration (GSA)Specialist will be responsible for administering our GSA program through sales, contract administration, reservations and customer service. The This position provides a high level of customer service and convenience for our GSA programs for Hertz and Dollar Thrifty brands.

The starting salary for this role is $50K; commensurate with experience.

What You’ll Do:

  • Responsible for GSA contract administration including but not limited to, submitting daily bids, reservation booking, customer service and support rental transportation.

  • Assist GSA, renters and government entities with pre-, on-, and post rental inquiries; reservation inquiries including booking new reservations and cancelling, confirming or modifying existing reservations; and responds to booking errors and override requests.

  • Monitor and respond to inquiries submitted to the GSA Inboxes

  • Verifies Revenue Management submitted bids are accurate.

  • Provides contractual updates to internal stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ensuring daily bids are submitted timely.

  • Follow through on bookings needed, billing compliance, contract rewrites, etc.

  • Assists with annual contract audits

  • Maintain understanding of current requirements of GSA contracts

  • Communicate with operations on rental procedures and requirements.

  • Assist customers via phone and email to drive revenue improvement.

  • Assist customers by resolving billing and rental issues, handling overrides, and specialist booking arrangements with first call resolution

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 1 year of Customer Service experience, required

  • Experience with Luxury Brand Sales or Customer Service Preferred

  • Moderate proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Thorough knowledge of GSA Contract and processes

  • Proven strong sales and closing skills with the ability to be friendly and engaging.

  • Ability to multi-task work in a fast-paced environment using multiple systems and applications.

  • Ability to learn technology, software, reporting and processes quickly.

  • Capable of working independently and in an open team environment

  • Ability to collaborate with Hertz internal and external customers across multiple functions and locations

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Results driven, ability to make decisions and help solve problems

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work under minimal supervision with a goal-oriented mindset.

  • Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
