Raytheon Technologies is seeking talented candidates for an IT Technical Trainer position based in the Washington Metropolitan Area; position executes both Instructional Design responsibilities and Training Coordinator responsibilities. The successful candidate will work alongside the customer and subject matter experts to deliver multiple Programs of Instruction which prepare students for their daily tasks.

In this role, the individual will:

Provide training services to design and deliver a variety of IT (software and hardware) training courses. S/He shall work across the program to analyze IT training needs for technical tools and create proactive, responsive solutions to training needs.

Gain a strong working knowledge of program technical tools from a user perspective.

Be equipped to lead, instruct, and conduct technical training courses and other inventions for employees.

Design the instructional materials for training in collaboration with various tool SMEs.

Maintain and update content within existing courses.

Executes courseware development for mission-specific training.

Oversees and coordinates formal, group-level training portfolio.

Establishes and maintains working relationships with applicable Subject Matter Experts (SME).

Routinely interacts with stakeholders at all levels.

Plans and synchronizes course schedules and training events with stakeholders/new users.

Collaborates with PMO and technical team members on course descriptions and requirements; publishes course descriptions, pre-requisites and schedules

Manages the course registration process and ensures applicants meet course criterion.

Supports other program training activities as required. Plans, organizes, delivers, supports and participates in internal programs to certify and develop cross-functional support across teams. Continues professional learning, development and growth to enhance program training value and advance the team toward customer-defined goals.

Captures, coordinates and submits requirements on behalf of customer and the application teams.

Employs various automated software programs as part of day-to-day operations; software includes the Microsoft Office suite; Adobe Acrobat Pro; and miscellaneous customer-specific systems.

Required Skills:

Must have experience supporting customer training programs.

Prior experience in formal instructional design and curriculum development

Excellent organizational skills; able to articulate intent, frame requirements, set priorities and develop practical methods to meet training goals.

Poised with exceptional communications skills, both oral and written.

Prior experience in formal instructional design and curriculum development (orchestrating needs assessment, formulating learning behaviors, syllabus design, lesson planning, courseware development, grading rubrics.)

Proven success in outreach, networking and forming mutually beneficial relationships across organizational lines.

Ability to negotiate consensus across competing priorities, varied equities and divergent goals.

Strong interpersonal skills.

A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
