McLaren Health Care Scheduler - Coordinator - McLaren Careers in Sterling Heights, Michigan

Position Summary:

Provides daily scheduling and clerical support to home care programs according to organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines. Completes reports along with preliminary analysis; and communicates variances for adjustments to clinicians or as applicable to clinical supervisor.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for daily scheduling for clinical staff, including coordinating and working directly with clinical staff and supervisors to meeting incoming referral needs.

  2. Performs clinical staff daily and weekly scheduling and visit verification in collaboration with other team members, notifies supervisor of variances.

  3. Acts as resource person for agency staff in relation to daily scheduling.

  4. Completes data collection, compilation, computer input and generation of reporting in relation to clinician daily performance and productivity. Identifies variances and communicates with supervisor.

  5. Process workflow that is assigned in HCHB.

  6. Provides clerical support services including typing, filing, copying, and equipment maintenance, etc.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • One-year health care or office experience.

  • Proficient in MS Office.

  • Ability to type 35 wpm.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree in health care area or equivalent college courses

  • Prior home care experience.

  • Prior scheduling experience
