DCS Corporation Robotics SW Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan

DCS Corp is looking for a Robotics SW Engineer in Sterling Heights, MI to support development of next generation U.S. Army ground vehicle robotic platforms.  The successful candidate will design, develop, and integrate software for autonomy subsystems needed for U.S. Army ground vehicle autonomous mobility capability. Essential Job Functions: You will work on software development as well as in-vehicle integration topics for autonomous ground vehicle systems with a focus on perception as well as path planning applications. Develop autonomous ground vehicle software based on ROS. Work closely with customer and other suppliers to develop strong working relationships. Travel up to 25% to perform vehicle SW integration and test at customer and government site. Required Skills: Experience in C++, Python. Understanding of perception and/or path planning applications for autonomous systems. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. Must have a BS in Engineering and postgrad and/or professional software development experience. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Desired Skills: Experience working with Git, Docker, Agile, Bitbucket, Jira, software in the loop. Robotics and autonomous systems experience e.g ROS.
