General Dynamics Land Systems Electrical Associate Engineer in Sterling Heights, Michigan

The Electrical Associate Engineer position focuses on the development and integration of advanced vehicle electronics technologies from the Advanced Capability Development product team (ACD). This effort focuses on design and development of vehicle schematics, which also requires troubleshooting of system & subsystem design, requirements, and integration for electrical / electronic / mobility and lethality subsystems for ground combat vehicle programs.

Specific tasks include but are not limited to: - Understanding and development of systems & subsystem level requirements - Ability to accurately capture and review electrical schematics at aSystem/Subsystem level - Understanding and development of vehicle & subsystem-level integration and test plan - Integration of electrical / electronic components into existing vehicle architectures - Trouble shooting of link-based (e.g., CAN, Ethernet, etc...) electricalsystems - Development of link-based (CAN) diagnostics

Position Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Control Systems, Software, or related engineering field. Other technical degrees will be considered with related experience. - Entry Level College graduate in Engineering - Minimum of 0-3 years of applicable experience, fewer years will be considered with an advanced degree. - Broad based knowledge of electrical systems, system/subsystem, H/W, & S/W requirements. - Proven and demonstrated experience with integration of electrical / electronic components and associated software/hardware - Experience with network-based vehicle architectures - Experience trouble shooting electrical systems required - Experience with link-based (e.g., CAN) diagnostic systems - Experience with J1939 CAN protocol - Experience with lab & vehicle-based electronics and softwaretesting - US Citizenshiprequired
